About Orthodoxy

Who Are We?

“The Orthodox Church is evangelical, but not Protestant. It is orthodox, but not Jewish. It is catholic, but not Roman. It isn’t non-denominational – it is pre-denominational. It has believed, taught, preserved, defended and died for the Faith of the Apostles since the Day of Pentecost 2,000 years ago.”

-Steve Robinson, Our Life in Christ

Faith of the Apostles

The Twelve Apostles handed down the faith and traditions of the Holy Orthodox. To these truths we stand firm in our worship.

Christian Spirituality

Orthodox spirituality is founded on repentance and continually reorienting yourself towards God.

Holy Traditions

The liturgical services, the sacraments, even Holy Scriptures all find their roots in a Tradition that had developed over a millenia from the time of Pentecost.

The Church at Large

"Salvation is found with our brethren." This famous saying indicates that the Church as a whole is found in the unity of its faithful.

The Foundations of the Orthodox Faith

It All points to Christ

From the opening lines in the book of Genesis, to everything that follows the Ascension of Our Lord, until the present day, all of it points to Jesus Christ. Learning to see Christ, even through the fallenness of the world, is the primary goal of the Orthodox Christian life.
